For the QGIS specialist position, we’re looking for someone who loves data and annotation to help train various AI models and structuring data. Responsibilities
- Hands on data annotation to provide high quality labels to train machine learning models, specifically in computer vision.
- Perform quality checks on labels done by other annotators.
- Collaboration with other team members to deliver high quality data consistently.
- Create and improve annotation guidelines and add supplementary examples.
- Report and document issues faced from data annotation to Project Manager/s and discuss solutions to improve the quality of data.
- Provide feedback to improve existing tools that can increase the accuracy and quality of deep learning models.
- Assist in data set creation (using a variety of methods).
- You’ll be working on a range of projects, either on a third party tool, or on Enlabeler’s annotation tool.
Job requirements
- Minimum of a Diploma in a computer science or related field
- 2+ years’ experience working on a QA labelling team in image and video annotation platforms
- Experience validating and scoring pre labeled camera and LiDAR datasets for machine learning and computer vision tasks
- Advanced data analysis skills and presentation; Proficient in one or more data analysis software i.e. Google sheets, Excel, IDEA, Tableau, PowerBI e.t.c
- Significant experience with QGIS and ArcGIS and ArcMap
- Comfortable to handle large data sets on a regular basis.
- Experience in working full time, knowing how to deal with time management, expectations, communication and delivering on your duties.
- Ability to work on repetitive tasks efficiently and effectively with minimal errors.
- Excellent communication, analytical and with good reasoning skills.
- Possess high motivation with the desire to learn.
- Proactive attitude.
- Strong interest in Computer Sciences or Artificial Intelligence, especially in deep learning.
- Based in Cape Town or Johannesburg (or you are willing to relocate).
- A partially remote working environment (work from home) with access over labeling hubs across Cape Town and Johannesburg (where you will be expected to work from a certain number of days per week).
